A Message from our Headteacher

A warm welcome to the Kingsley Community Primary and Nursery website and thank you for your interest in our wonderful school.  Our school is situated in a beautiful semi-rural location on the edge of Kingsley village and we welcome pupils from within our village and our local surrounding area.  Community is at the heart of our school ethos, and we pride ourselves on our strong, supportive relationships and partnerships with our families, staff team and our wider community.

'Parents and carers are highly supportive of the school, and appreciate the care and attention staff give to pupils' (Ofsted 2023)

We have a thriving onsite maintained nursery for children aged 3 and 4, which is led by our highly experienced and specialist Early Years team. When you step through our doors, you will feel the warmth of our family-oriented learning environment and the excitement of our youngest children as they explore and discover through play-based learning.

‘Children attend early years provision at a crucial developmental point in their lives. The education and care that they receive affects not only future educational attainment but also their future health and happiness.’  Best Start in Life (2021)

We understand and appreciate the demands of family life, and offer wrap around care within our 'Treehouse' during term time to support our working families, alongside holiday club offerings for our wider community.  Our pupils benefit greatly from the opportunities for outdoor learning within our extensive grounds, including time at our allotments and much loved 'Nature's Nook' woodland, within which we offer Forest School sessions to all our classes.

'Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, which supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence, and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting' Forest School Association (FSA)

Our dedicated Kingsley Community Primary and Nursery team strive for high standards and outcomes through delivering a progressive and ambitious curriculum.  We are passionate about providing inspiring, engaging and creative cross curricular opportunities for our pupils, which empowers them to grow in confidence, independence, and resilience and enables them to shine.

'Leaders and governors are ambitions for our pupils to achieve' (Ofsted 2023)

We celebrate and value each child's unique learning journey, with inclusivity and wellbeing at the essence of our practice.  We are a 'No Outsiders' school, supporting our children to express their views with kindness and consideration whilst recognising and respecting our differences.   Our pupils are our best ambassadors, championing our school values and demonstrating their love of learning and enthusiasm for school life.  We encourage pupil voice and our pupils take great pride in their leadership roles and responsibilities such as being part of our School Council, House Captains, Eco Prefects or 'Buddies' to our Early Years children.

'Pupils are proud to attend this happy and welcoming school' (Ofsted 2023)

We offer a varied enrichment program to enhance our pupils' school experiences, including sporting opportunities (Platinum Sports Mark Award), musical instrument tuition, swimming lessons, Spanish language club and exciting residential stays.  Our families are invited to share in celebration assemblies, seasonal celebrations and special events such as our Family Summer Camp.

Kingsley Community Primary and Nursery is a school to be experienced and felt.  We welcome visitors to tour our school and discover our wonderful learning environment and school community of which we are so proud.  In the meantime, we encourage you to explore our website and prospectus and visit our social media to see our exciting learning in action.
