Maple 2022 - 2023
Mrs Sanderson-Hutley
Our last half term of the year is approaching! Here is what Maple Class will be learning about...
In Literacy this half term we will be enjoying the book 'Zerrafa Giraffa' by Diane Hoffmeyer. A story inspired by a giraffe that was gifted to Charles X in 1826 and lived in Jardin de Plants in Paris for 18 years.
Maths this half term will focus on statistics, fractions and multiplication and division. We will be learning about collecting data, interpreting it and presenting it in a variety of different charts and graphs. We will continue to have a strong focus on mental maths and of course, we will also be applying our mathematical knowledge to reasoning and problem solving investigations on a daily basis.
In History this half term we will be focussing on local history. We will be looking at listed buildings in our local area and also a scheduled monument. To find out more, view our Knowledge Organiser.
Further details on all our curriculum topics can be found in our Curriculum Overview below.
PE will be on a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon but please ensure you have your kit, alongside your outdoor learning gear in school every day.
